Bosnian Balon Pupa Selection
At this time of year, one of the most popular imitations to use on both Rivers and Stillwaters is an emerger. These usually are more productive when tied with CdC, as the way they present is exactly like the emerging insect.
There are many different variations of this style of fly, but today we have one of the very best selections available. We asked our man in Bosnia if he would come up with his interpretation of an emerger which he would use over in Bosnia (where the fish are very picky and will only take a pattern that not only looks right but is also presented properly). When we received the first samples we were stunned and took them straight out onto a smooth stretch of water for a test - 2 casts, and 2 fish - what more can we say!
"Balon" is the Bosnian for Balloon or Bubble - i.e. the loop of CdC behind the eye of the pattern. These Bosnian Balon Pupa flies are all tied on AHREX FW525 Superdry size 18 barbless hooks.
Our Bosnian Balon Pupa Selection is only available as a selection of 12, 3 each of 4 distinct patterns:
- Pheasant Tail Balon Pupa
- Stripped Rooster Balon Pupa
- Rusty Brown Balon Pupa
- Yellow Balon Pupa
These flies are only available as a selection. Just click on "add to cart", you can then adjust the quantities in your cart.
