Shipmans Buzzer Selection.
The Shipmans Buzzer, created in the 1970’s by Dave Shipman to imitate chironomid hatches on Rutland Water, these can be fished in a number of different ways:
- Dry: On a floating line (think of them as a dry fly) gink them up and fish them high on the water. Let the wind drift the fly (or flies), or retrieve very slowly.
- Emerging: Gink up half of the buzzer and fish half in/half out.
- Wet: Apply Xink to the buzzer and fish it sunk.
These flies are all tied on strong barbless size 10 & 12 hooks. This select comes with 16 flies (4 different patterns, 2 of each sizes 10 and 12).

Black Shipmans. Tied with White Antron at both ends with a black body and tinsel rib. Looks scruffy, but works! This selection contains 2 each of sizes 10 and 12.
Olive Shipmans. Tied with White Antron at both ends with an olive body and tinsel rib. Looks scruffy, but works! This selection contains 2 each of sizes 10 and 12.
Orange Shipmans. Tied with White Antron at both ends with an orange body and tinsel rib. Looks scruffy, but works! This selection contains 2 each of sizes 10 and 12.
Red Shipmans. Tied with White Antron at both ends with a red body and tinsel rib. Looks scruffy, but works! This selection contains 2 each of sizes 10 and 12.
