Welcome To Barbless Flies
Innovative flies & superior customer service.
“We aim to bring to the market a wide range of river and stillwater trout flies, all professionally tied to extremely high standards using first-class materials.
We also aim to innovate, hopefully you will see that if you have a look at what products we have to offer. We also understand that any retailer (especially online) stands and falls by the quality of its customer service. Therefore we aim to meet and where possible, exceed your expectations!
We have decided that where we can we would like to help preserve the environment for all the fish in our rivers. We have teamed up with various conservation charities, and now ship all of our flies in fully recyclable packaging.“

The 2025 Artisan Mopster Selection
Mop flies have been proven deadly in reservoirs, managed stillwater fisheries and rivers worldwide. We looked at the mop fly and decided to upgrade it to make the mop fly even more deadly and used Semperfli's Mopster tm Chenille - an entirely new chenille with multicoloured guard hair tinsels protruding from the material.
With these Mopster flies the tinsel provides mobility and additional attraction in the water but makes the mop fly look astounding.
These flies have been tested with anglers who actually admitted to using mop flies and they caught loads of fish. So try one of our 2025 Artisan Mopsters ... it could be your guilty secret!
Here's What Our Customers Think:
River Master - Grayling
Our River Master Series on The Grayling. is a series of articles describing what the fish is, what it looks like, where it lives and what type of water it prefers to live in. This a series of articles on fishing for Grayling.
Want To Choose Your Early Season Nymphs By Weight?
We know it's a bit geeky, but we've actually weighed all of our nymphs and put them into three different weight classifications:
Light Weight: between 0.00g and 0.19g - for slower flows and shallower water
Medium Weight: between 0.20g and 0.39g - for regular flows
Heavy Weight: above 0.40g+ - for high and faster water
Light Weight Nymphs
For when you need your nymph to sink slowly or the flow is minimal. Our Lightweight nymphs all weigh between 0.00g and 0.19g
Medium Weight Nymphs
Use this weight of nymph on a regular flowing river, these are ideal for Grayling. Our Mediumweight nymphs all weigh between 0.20g and 0.39g
Heavy Weight Nymphs
When the river is carrying that little bit more water and you need to go deep, fast. Our Heavyweight nymphs all weigh above 0.40g.
